Project LAMOST
| Project LAMOST (Large Sky Area Multi-object Fiber Spectroscopic). The contract for figuring and treatment of 40 sub-mirrors of segmented MB and casting and fabrication of 26 blanks made of Astrositall® intended for MA sub-mirrors. |
| LAMOST telescope is a special reflecting Schmidt system and is composed of two large-size segmented Mirrors: Schmidt plate ÌÀ and Primary spherical mirror ÌÂ with size about 6.7m x 6m. MB consists of 37 hexagonal sub-mirrors of ZERODUR material, Schott company. Segments surface figure is tested by means of Fizeau lens. Blanks for Schmidt plate MA have thickness 26 mm. |
